JOB DESCRIPTION:
Collectively perform engineering duties within a Project Team(s) for projects in the Florida Municipal Water and Wastewater market. Responsible for the successful completion of specific project tasks as assigned by the Project Manager and Lead Estimator. Project Engineers will have had experience with the disciplines listed below.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
PROJECT MANAGEMENT duties will include:
- Procure, review and process shop drawings
- Maintain project logs (i.e. storage, concrete pour, RFI, and submittal logs)
- Maintain and update schedules (i.e. schedule of valves and project schedules)
- Identify need for Requests For Information (RFIs)
- Maintain as-built drawings
- Collect and assemble Operation and Maintenance (O&M) materials
- Purchase Order and Subcontract Scope analysis and drafting
- Material purchasing and expediting
- Contract document distribution to jobsite, vendors and subcontractors
- Complete evaluation and understanding of project specifications and drawings
- Project closeout
FIELD ENGINEERING duties will include;
- Monitor onsite progress conformance to project standards
- Quality Control management
- Safety Coordination
- Coordinate facility startup activities
- Engage in onsite coordination, progress and planning meeting
PROJECT ESTIMATING duties will include;
- Solicits and maintains communication with subcontractors and vendors
- Comprehension of bid documents and project requirements
- Evaluation of vendor and subcontractors proposals
- Attend Prebid meetings
- Value engineering design and proposals
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Four (4) year Engineering or Building Construction degree
- Exposure to Water or Waste Water Treatment Facility Construction is highly desirable
- Computer Applications Experience: Microsoft Office Applications, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Primavera Project Planning (P6) or Primavera SureTrak
