Mr. Merizalde is our Project Manager with over three years of experience in the construction industry. He has either managed or assisted in completing Lump Sum, Design-Build, and Construction Manager at Risk projects up to $6 million dollars.
Mr. Merizalde is a strong asset of our Project Management team. He spends a great deal of time digesting each project’s details and contract requirements to determine scopes of work and constructability. He is very meticulous in his work and prides himself on working with the project team to complete the project beyond expectations.
His work can be defined by three phases. The most critical phase includes the job set-up and procurement phase. This includes developing the project schedule, schedule of values, budgets for payment and job costing, project buyout including insurance of purchase orders and subcontracts, obtaining proper local, state, and federal permitting, and an in depth review of submittals and shop drawings.
During construction, the second phase of work, his responsibilities include: enforcement of FDC’s safety policies, implementation of construction strategies, creation of RFIs, managing purchase orders and subcontractors, timely delivery equipment and materials, and updating schedules, submittal logs, pay applications and budgets.
The last phase includes project start-up and closeout. This entails coordination of manufacturer’s representative’s services with the completion of work, onsite start-up of complex water and wastewater systems with operating flows, coordination of closeout documents, and completion of punch lists.
