Scope: |
The Low Lift Pump Station Electrical Improvements project for the City of Boca Raton consisted of the installation of a fourth variable speed, vertical turbine pumping unit including all piping, fittings, valves and appurtenances at the Low Lift Pump Station (Building No. 59), more specifically installation of a variable frequency drive and all associated electrical improvements as well as work necessary to integrate the new pumping unit into the existing pump station control strategy including the necessary SCADA and HMI screen improvements; replacement of the existing 300 HP Effluent Pump VFD/Bypass Starter combination controllers at the Effluent Pump Station (Building No. 25), including modifications and improvements to the control logic as well as all necessary modifications to the power and control wiring and raceway to support the new units; replacement of unit substations, consisting of a 5Kv fused switch, 4.16k - 277/480V 3 PH step-down transformer and 480V distribution section with feeder breakers at the existing Plant Substation (Buildings No. 25, 29 and 33), including upgrades to light emitting diode (LED) light fixtures to the existing lighting systems in Unit Substation and MCC Rooms; as well as installation of three (3) sodium hypochlorite distribution lines to replace the two (2) existing distribution lines at the Hypochlorite Distribution System, including from Building No. 47 to the secondary effluent chlorine injection point, from Building No. 47 to the reuse water injection point at the high level chlorine contact tanks, and one (1) spare distribution lines routed from Building No. 47 to the southeast corner of the Low Lift Pump Station. |
