Scope: |
The Rehabilitation of Membrane Pretreatment Pressure Filters project for the City of Boca Raton consisted of the replacement and refurbishment of material and equipment related to the four (4) existing membrane pretreatment pressure filters; and, replacement and refurbishment of material and equipment related tot he membrane feed water and membrane unit valve panels. More specifically, the project included replacement of control valve actuators; replacement of the check valves in the backwash air inlet piping for each filter cell; replacement of the existing air/water backwash rate butterfly valves with new v-port ball valves for each filter cell; replacement of the combination air valves on the top of the pressure filter vessels for each filter cell; replacement of all access hatch gaskets; replacement of existing drain piping and valve in the existing main steel air feed piping; replacement of 2" bottom drain gate valves on the underside of each pressure filter (6 in total); addition of a new check valve in the existing main steel air feed piping; replacement of all sealtite conduits and fittings to actuators; replacement of corroded PVC-coated rigid conduits and fittings; replacement of all the wiring to actuators and controls; replacement of Rosemount pressure and flow transmitters on pressure filters; replacement of all pushbutton controls, indicator lights and switches on local operator control panels for all pressure filters; repainting of exterior of the steel pressure vessels and associated process piping; removal of all mounting stanchions; removal of existing and replacement with new filter media in six (6) filter cells; complete filter cell refurbishment including demolition, removal and off-site disposal of existing air grid system and filter underdrain system and replacement of the air grid and underdrains with a header-lateral type underdrain; and blasting and painting of the interior pressure vessel. |
