Scope: |
The Mobile Bed Absorber Improvements projects for the Town of Jupiter consists of the demolition of existing and construction of new mechanical, structural and instrumentation improvements to an existing hydrogen sulfide odor control system with two (2) Mobile Bed Absorber (MBA) towers including small diameter PVC piping and fittings, 316 stainless steel tubing, 10" schedule 80 CPVC piping and fittings, CPVC butterfly valves, 316 stainless steel check valves, stainless steel ball vales, CPVC ball valves, 316 stainless steel supports, existing concrete rehabilitation and coating, removal of existing recirculation pumps and installation of new owner furnished fiberglass (FRP) horizontal end suction pumps at the Town's Water Treatment Plant. Scope of work more specifically involves the removal and replacement of existing plant water backflow preventors; demolition of existing MBA status panels and circulation piping supports; removal of existing circulation pumps, piping and pump support pads; construction of pipe supports for suction and discharge piping; construction of temporary supports for blower and removal of blower support pads; installation of new stainless steel blower support frames; modifications to MBA overflow piping; removal of existing transmitters and sensing lines and replacement with new transmitters and 316 stainless steel sensing tubing; construction of new small diameter process pipe supports, and removal and replacement of small diameter process piping; construction of new overhead blow down drains and connection into new gravity wastewater drainage system; demolition and removal of existing ion exchange regenerate supply piping around the 3MG ground storage tank; structurally rehabilitate the existing MBA slab and pour 1" concrete cover over entire MBA area; and construction of surface mounted drains and tie into new drainage system. |
