Scope: |
The Norwood Backwash Recovery and Chemical System Improvements project for the City of North Miami Beach consisted of the construction of the backwash recovery and chemical feed system improvements at the Norwood Water Treatment Plant. The project included improvements to the wash-down system within backwash recovery basins 1, 2, 3 and 4; construction of a carbon dioxide solution feed system including installation of a 30-5on vertical steel liquefied carbon dioxide storage tank; improvements to the sodium hypochlorite feed system including replacement of the 2,000 gallon sodium hypochlorite day tank, replacement of the seven (7) metering pumps and replacement of the two (2) transfer pumps; improvements to the fluoride (hydrofluosilicic acid) chemical feed system including replacement of the 150-gallon day tank and three (3) metering pumps; improvements to the phosphate chemical feed system including replacement of four (4) phosphate metering pumps, 50 gallon day tank, transfer pump, and 1,000 gallon double wall bulk storage tank; improvements to the polymer feed system including installation of two (2) PolyBlend polymer feed systems within the polymer feed room and a 15 gallon per day tank; improvements to the pilot chemical feed system including installation of two (2) pilot chemical metering pumps; and the demolition and disposal of existing systems as called for in the construction drawings. |
