Scope: |
The Fort Lauderdale IT Facility Replacement project for the South Florida Water Management District consists of the replacement of an existing communication equipment facility building, furnish and installation of new communication support equipment, installation of new power service and restoration of the existing building as storage. The project included existing asphalt and soil removal; relocation of existing utilities (water and drain lines); import, placement, and compaction of structural fill material; installation of new grounding grid and site ground; installation of new power and communication raceways to different existing buildings; construction of structural foundation and concrete ramp for the new building; placement of new pre-cast concrete building; design and installation of wave-guide ice bridge; installation of new DC power equipment at the Field Station and relocation of DC power equipment to Brighton IT Shelter; new HVAC system and ventilation systems; electrical work, controls, panels, power feed and wiring; installation of communications equipment and fiber optic cabling systems; electrical and controls interconnections to the existing buildings; new asphalt paving, bollards, and hand railing; construction of a concrete slab and installation of an open-end storage metal building; and installation of (1) 5-ton crane and (2) 10-ton cranes inside the existing maintenance building. |
